Last meeting, we had role play about given feedback to our students. There are many ways to give feedback. Direct feedback and indirect feedback. Both have advantages and disadvantages of each. Based on role play yesterday I more prefer to use direct feedback, because the evaluation that we give more acceptable to the students. In addition, students will also feel more appreciated for their assignments or exams they were noticed by the teacher.
In addition to learning about giving feedback I also learned about responding to students when they ask. As teachers we must answer their questions without having to drop their self-es-Teem, although they might question out of context material.

reflection about summative and formative assessment

Last meeting I learned about formative and summative assessment. Formative assessment usually on going process in the class, and summative assessment in last process in the class. Homework is one of the example for formative assessment. Homework refers to task assigned to students by their teachers to be completed outside of class. Homework helps students to review the material in the class and for the teacher its can be one of assessment for students. Teacher can know that students understand or still confuse. Students also can discuss with their friends. Teacher must creative to give homework, so students not bored with the assignment.

Element of Classroom Assessment


There are four Element of classroom assessment : Purpose, Measurement, Evaluation and Use. Purpose for reach the goal from the student. As a teacher we must have a purpose when we want to teach our students. Measurement for active involvement from student, we use variance of assessment and methods when we teach the students. Evaluation, we always give feedback for our students. Feedback is very important to do because we can give motivation for them. Use is like reflection to our students. We always see the development our students and result from their assignment, learning process. So, as a teacher candidate, I must prepare my self to make a better in make assessment. So, assessment that I give to my students objectively.

reflection about assessment


Last meeting, I learn more about assessment. How to make a good assessment and why the assessment is important. I have a bad experience about assessment that my teacher gave to me and my friends. Many teacher give assessment subjectively, and the effect is many student feel disappointed with the result. My teacher often gave value for me and my friends with see the person not from the result from our work and exam. As a teacher candidate I must learn more how to make a good assessment for my students and objective assessment also. Because I wanna be a good teacher.

shariiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiinggggggggggggggg :)

In last meeting, i am very happy. because we are sharing each other about our experiences in school.  I relize that being a good teacher it was not easy and after we are sharing, I became aware that many ways to be good teachers. One of them by making learning fun and meaningful. as a teacher did in fact have to make a lesson plan to help us in teaching in the classroom. We're not just sharing about effective teachers, but also discusses the master teacher commented on how we teach. This is very meaningful for me to be a further reflection materials to be even better. and I hope in next semester, i can teach better than now. And I can be inspiring teacher for my students.

Reflection secon week school experience




School experience have done. In the first week I just made ​​some observations and therefore in the second week I had to do teaching assistant with my friend, Hani. Before teaching, we make a lesson plan first and discussed to our master teacher, Mr. Dwi. We are given time to teach on Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, before we teach, we are given the opportunity to see Mr. Dwi in teaching. Each team is given a class during a teaching assistant, and my team got the class X-2. After seeing Mr. Dwi teaching, the next hour we were directly taught in the classroom.
At the first time, I felt nervous and afarid that the material will not be delivered properly. But the master teacher and my friend always gives me motivation that I can. The material we teach is a quadratic equation. We combine models of instruction they are Direct Instruction and Guided Discovery. When delivering the material many students who do not pay attention, after we remind, they finally noticed, too. But it did not last long, they chat and play mobile phone back. After delivered our material, we asked students to make groups to do 2 stay 3 stray. Before you do 2 stay 3 stray, they must solve problems first and write on the flipchart. During to do it, we guided helped them for the problems. Because time had run out, they did not have time to do 2 stay 3 stray. Finally, we can do it the next meeting.
The second meeting, we went on the material. We replaced some of the methods and ways of delivering the material. Our flash games in order to prepare students more interested and willing to pay attention and finally in this way managed to make them pay attention to us, other than that when we do interviews to some students, they feel happy because there are games in math. Besides, because their teachers never make games or power point in teaching. During our teaching, our master teachers always accompany us and assess our ways of teaching.
There are some attitudes that interfere with our students while teaching. Many students who play mobile phone and listen to music while studying. Initially we thought that if they did it because we simply substitute teacher, but when we did our interview to a master teacher,, he said That he allows the students to use Their mobile phone but after he given the material. But I thought, it is not effective because when he given the material, they played mobile phone. He has three learning methods, they are story telling, discuss, discovery but tucked into the things that are planting the moral character. He also allows students to teach during exams as long as not get caught. It is the rule of the teacher.
Through this school experience I can learn how to make lesson plan that is characterized, and how manage the students. In addition, I also learned that to be a teacher must have patience. And before you start teaching should make a rule agreement in class. My difficulty in teaching this is the difficulty of getting the attention of students. But the difficulty is to be a challenge for me to be good teachers and professionals. Being a teacher is not easy and not difficult as well. What is needed is only able to embrace all students and patience so that students can follow the rules we make and understand all the material provided.

My Reflection


Senior High School Muhamdiyah 3 precisely located on Limau street, Kebayoran Baru. The school is already using the system moving class, so every turn of the lesson the students will move the class. Unfortunately I cannot see the system because the school is being held midtest. Since being midtest, my friend and I cannot make observations in the classroom. The school is very accepting of both our arrival, when we come there was in this school there are also other students who are doing the PPL, they also received us very well.

            The first day, we are only acquainted with the master teacher and see the state schools. For the first week, my friend and I have not been able to do Teaching Assistant because midtest. So we were just discussing with our master teacher. In high school Muhamadiyah 3, we only get a master teacher for every department. Due to other mathematics teachers who teach grade 3. We discuss about the lesson plan, syllabus, and the material being taught. Currently holding discussions, we often move the room and this became an opportunity for us to be able to observe a state school, because we did not get into the classroom. Facilities at this school is pretty good and complete, the existing language lab and library are very comfortable.

            This week I can only discuss and make a lesson plan to teach next week. Because we only get a master teacher and the student of mathematics there are 4 people, we divide the task to create a lesson plan first and second meetings. Both groups should have the same lesson plan as a teacher of the same mater. We only know the number of students per class, numbering around 25-26 students to grade 1. In high school Muhamadiyah also has SCI classes, accelerated classes. The difference is evident is the number of students per class and learning material. SCI has a number of students who are a little more and get a more dense material.

            Judging from its name, this school is a school-based religion of Islam. For women are required to wear veils while in school. But there is weakness when they use a veil, as I discussed with some students, she admitted that in the class often use the headset during a lesson. This is what makes them do not understand when the teacher explains.

micro teaching....

           Last Tuesday, section B has done role play micro teaching. Micro teaching is useful for our school experiences in the fifth and sixth weeks. Our particular I learned a lot from other friends how to teach and make a lesson plan in order to create an effective classroom. I learned a lot from this activity, although the materials we take are for elementary schools. I learned that it does not have to create learning games with advanced technology, but can also use carton, or paper. Besides that, I so remember when I  school, my teachers no one is using an interesting method to teach, so that I often feel bored and a lot of material that I do not understand. It happen become my reflections to be a better teachers and students can make me feel happy when learning mathematics. Micro teaching hopefully this helps me when doing school experiences.
