Reflection About F & Q

Now, PETA course has talked about F & Q (Feedback & Question). We have known what is assessment and the function of it. One of assessment's function is for feedback not only for students but also for teacher. For students, it can improve their understanding about the lesson for next session. For example, when teacher ask students to make task (presentation or paper & pencil test), we as teacher have to give feedback for them about their strenght/weakness. But, teacher shouldn't give feedback after all of students' task in the last meeting of semester. Because it will not improve students' understanding. We can give feedback after we analyzing students' work. About the question, don't give negative responses because it will be decrease students' motivation.

My Memorize and Reflection

In week 7 (October 1st, 2011), that meeting was amazing because we can shared about our experiences when we taught in school experience. So many experiences can i get in that program, such as prepare our lesson plan, make interest activity and the most important is make "fun learning and meaningful". Why? because when we just teach with fun but we cannot transfer our knowledge to students, it does not work. We focus on learning outcomes. How students can understand and apply that concept in daily life. It will be my obstacle when i teach.

The Last Memoriam in 12

Week 2 in Senior High School 12, it was not different in week 1. But, in week 2, we taught three times. I was very confused to prepare our lesson plan in 3 class, because in that class have different topic with another class. We (Eli and I) have to make 3 lesson plan in week 2. Same with cases in week 1 when we observed the class, we found, students almost never active when teaching and learning process. They just listened explaining their teacher about material. After that, interaction between teacher and students and students with students we looked seldom done in the class. When I found that cause, it was because the time that school never enough to teaching and learning mathematics to be effective.

This is to be our base to develop a lesson plan which there are students’ activity and make interaction between teacher and students and also students with students. In our lesson plan, we used activity such as quiz with game and group discussion because we want students develops their knowledge together with their friends. But it still difficult because habitual of students just listen and do the homework not in pair or group. This was like me when I school in High School. Teacher just gave explain about the material and gave the exercise to students with worked not pair or group. This method have weakness in students understanding because just little bite of students understood about the topic but another students just little or cannot understood about the goal of the material. So, my friend and I have initiative to make group discussion and the result of this activity, we more understood about the topic. So, I use this method in my lesson plan although we (Eli and I) must hard work to develop students to be active.

After that, because we use RPP Berkarakter Bangsa, we have implemented it into our lesson plan, such as we developed students to be trust with their group, responsibility with the others and etc. I like this lesson plan because we not only just reflect about the material but also we have done develop students behavior.

In this last paragraph, I just want to say thank you for students and the teachers and also staff in SMA Negeri 12 Jakarta because in that place I got new knowledge and experiences and the last sentence, I will remember about what my master teacher said “Jangan hanya fokus pada isi konten dari materi tapi perdalami apa karakter dan watak siswa belajar terlebih dahulu”.
