Assessment purposes and processes


I’m sorry, because I’m very late to posting my reflection because my mother was sick, so I’m must  go back to my home town, no connection internet in my house and I couldn’t do anything . So that, last midnight I arrived to Jakarta.
In the last meeting, my class learnt about assessment again. At those meeting, each group discussed about different topic of assessment and after that we did 2 stay 2. In my reflection, I’ll share about the purposes and process of assessments.
As we know that assessment is an important thing in learning. So, we must know about what the purposes of assessment. It are planning for instruction, adjusting instruction, diagnosis, expertise and evaluating, and comparing. From the purposes, I concluded that assessment used before, during and after learning.
The processes of assessment are preparatory phase and do the assessment. In preparatory phase have 4 stages. First, we arrange the method, instrument, activities, type and evidence for learning. Second, discuss with other assessors if we have partner in our class. Third, discuss with learning facilitator if we didn’t do assessment in our class. And the fourth, decide on the timing of assessment. Whereas in the assessment has 3 stage. First, inform the learner about the requirement. Second, evidence collected and presented. And the third, explain roles and responsibilities of the learner.
The topic is very important to me as the next generation of teacher because assessment is a part of learning which help us to evaluate our learning.  I think is enough,, see you in next reflection........ J

I get the point from your reflection. We as a teacher must doing assessment before, during, and after class...
