First impression: continue micro teaching?

On Tuesday, October 11, 2011, we will continue micro teaching. Actually, I still confused, we prepared for secondary school but we more often practice micro teaching for elementary school. When studied about ICT last year, we also micro teaching for elementary school. Why?  

Note:
Be teacher is not we need jobs or money.
But be teacher because we like become teacher.

where can I find out more about how to become a great teacher. precisely on how to organize the class into effective classroom. because in this lesson opened my eyes to think how and what my students want to learn it later.

similar to what I reflect on that as a teacher is not only sufficient if it has a strong material, but how to create a class to be effective is also very necessary. to what has great content but no material can be delivered effectively to students.
useless ....
so, be a great teacher in the content of the material and great at teaching effective.

Role Play with Assessing Models of Instructions


Today’s PETA class is going to play a role of microteaching. It’s really nice of see my friends being a teacher for a moment. They are so crazy and over acting. Yeah, my friends in SSE are extraordinary teacher candidate who have their own character but they always success showing us their talent. That’s why, when the class is being dominated by group of role play, the class is changing into a crowded class, which is the acting is our way of supporting our friends’ role play.
This activity is one of effective way for preparing teacher candidate to be a professional teacher. By this activity, we are learning to thinking out of the box, because we want to be different and unique. This is our culture believe that everything can be more wonderful when we are show a different but not out of context. And the building concept is needed the teamwork, it seems when we have a much idea but we cannot engage each other for building the concept, it will be none. So, here we need a good teamwork. After the preparation is well done, we also have to prepare ourselves to be a teacher. The point is, all process of role play have assessing many things about ours. That is why I said that it is an effective way of learning. I hope at the next meeting, we will have more variety treatment as we already learn about the models of instruction.
Oh, about the topic, I think assessing group role play about their models of instruction and then just write down at the paper is not really measure our understanding. We need a group discussion and also lecture discussion for checking our answer. By the discussion, each of students can evaluate their own understanding of the models of instruction.
I think that’s all about today. So far, the lesson is good; class is being more active and effective for practicing our skill in teaching learning.

PETA .....
at the fourth meeting, I got a lot of valuable lessons, which I and my friends practice effective ways of teaching that we desperately need as a prospective teacher. I reflect on my situation when I learned first, where the ways of teaching like that I never got at school. when my school, I just had a class with lecture method alone, and I feel very bored with the lessons. but now I get so many methods to teach my students. and the lessons that I admire is "a teacher must understand what is needed by the students while teaching and how what they like". because when I went to school I did not get my needs as a student. not only master the learning content of the material in which a teacher should possess, but how to bring the material is exactly what is no less important than the content of such materials. That's a real learning, when students are happy with what and how teachers deliver it.

Learning process to prepare become a great teacher J

The forth meeting of PETA course, the students of section B did micro teaching in team teaching. I am proud of you guys, we can show the best  although there are still things that we do better. This is a learning process to prepare our self to become a great teacher.  In this course, remember me about micro teaching last year when I was follow the test  of  third step to join in Sampoerna School of Education (SSE). At moment, my friends and me just only give one day to prepared micro teaching. In evening,  after we followed the TPA test we got briefing about micro teaching, and then after that we did discuss together with each group.  We discuss about the material that we will be teach for the children in the school of MASTER Depok . Instead of that, we also discuss about the way to make a learning process can run well and fun, and then we were divide the each job desk in order to all of we can involved in learning process. We did our each job desk in the night, we only use the communication by ponsel  to make our micro teaching can run well,, J
                In fact,  in day we can do best our job. We were happy after we taught the students of senior high school first grade. They were nice, although in first time we felt nervous, but because we were team to help each other, and work together,  when I got the question from the student, my friends help me to answer the question that out of context, but it’s ok,, finally we can do it, yeay…  nice experience..  J)))).  
                At SSE, I have did micro teaching several times, so  micro teaching in this course we can prepare well. Starting make a lesson plan, and discuss about the method and tools that use in micro teaching. But, in fact before five minute  begin, one of we forget to bring our tools. Firstly, we are be panic, but we still calm down to find the other way, and finally we can do it best.  I’m proud with my group,  three between us still can to hold our emotion.  I think, this is become a learning for us, to make sure and check again before we begin something that we prepare before, and then prepare our self to become a creative teacher. So, when we have a problem like that, we must flexible and can handle it best, and that’s important to believe our self that we can !! J

Reflection PETA in the fourth meeting

            After I have class at last Tuesday, I am sure that teaching is not only about explaining knowledge or the content of the material in front of the class. I think that preparation in teaching is very important. The teacher must know about how the student learn and how to make each of them can understand the concept deeply. Actually, I feel so great in SSE, because I am not only learn about the theorist but also the application all of the theorist.  It sounds like more better than my experience in high school, when every teacher just stay in front of the class and explained the concept based on the textbook. I have learned about how to make effective learning process, absolutely by good preparation in develop our lesson plan, input creative activity, and different models of instruction. I believe that we never know if we don't try. And group work make me more understand about the activities and instruction that to input in develop lesson plan for our micro teaching.

The Fourth Meeting of PETA

 At the last meeting, each group conducted microteaching. From this activity, I found that each group used different methods of learning.  We used two or more methods of learning. This activity made me know that the effective methods important to make effective learning. Reflect to my experience when I am studying in SSE. Every lecturer use different methods for each meeting. It make effective learning and students aren’t bored. It’s different with my experience in senior high schools. There use conventional methods, it made one way of learning. Sometimes, I feel bored and don’t understand the materials. So, I concluded that I am as the next generation of teacher need to change the conventional methods with the effective methods like group discussion, lecturer discussion and direct interaction. So that effective learning will be done and every student understands the materials.

On Tuesday ago, exactly date 11 October 2011, this is the fourth meeting for me in the course PETA (Principles of Effective Teaching and Assessment) with mother Lydia. In the fourth meeting this, I found many learnt when my friends did micro teaching in front of the classroom. And I become found many inspiration to my future, which I become have a motivation to become the best teacher in my future.
After I see my friends did the micro teaching, I have spirit to make a good lesson plan. Because the lesson plan can help me to managing the condition of the class when I teach. 089653806968. And when my friends is doing micro teaching and mix with games, and when I did reflection to my own, my feel is happy with there a games. All that make I become thinking to combine with games when I teach and have become teacher, in my future.
And when I become as a student, and my friends become a teacher in front of the class, and matter that make I think that the teacher center learning is good, but the matter that too must combined with a new learning, which more expression to build spirit when a teaching and learning in the classroom go on.
And I wish to the course of PETA that may it happen with this course, make and open my mind more deep to large my knowledge to become the best teacher in the future.

           Last Tuesday, section B has done role play micro teaching. Micro teaching is useful for our school experiences in the fifth and sixth weeks. Our particular I learned a lot from other friends how to teach and make a lesson plan in order to create an effective classroom. I learned a lot from this activity, although the materials we take are for elementary schools. I learned that it does not have to create learning games with advanced technology, but can also use carton, or paper. Besides that, I so remember when I  school, my teachers no one is using an interesting method to teach, so that I often feel bored and a lot of material that I do not understand. It happen become my reflections to be a better teachers and students can make me feel happy when learning mathematics. Micro teaching hopefully this helps me when doing school experiences.

fourth meeting

                     jakarta, tuesday 11 october 2011, today we practice about our skill to teach. we were micro teahing with our group, my group teach about trapezoid and kite. wow... i think it is so amazing, it will make me more confident when i teach later, especially when i school observation. i learn many thing from the microteaching this tuesday. how to make lesson plan, how to teach, how guide the student, and manymore. And i think it can be our special experience for our micro teaching in school experience next week. i hope my teach in school  experience will more than when i micro last tuesday.  Amiinnn.... hehehe

Micro Teaching for Teacher Candidate




Last Tuesday I have PETA class,, and the schedule was micro teaching……….
I think I must post my reflection as soon as possible because I have many thing to do. Haha
Because next week the class having teaching assistant in the secondary school…so Ms Lidya  want us to try teach with micro teaching….

When I was studying in my high school, there are teacher candidate from one of educational university in my hometown came to my school to teach us (the students)…. Actually they are so kind and friendly…but sometime maybe because of they are new in teaching, I still little bit don’t understand about their explanation and they used teacher centre learning that I just heard and looked what they did in front of the class (especially for mathematics). From my experience in my high school as a student I hope in this my teaching assistant I can help the teacher to apply students’ center learning in class, and for myself I hope I can learn more about how teaching well..And teaching effectively and when I’m in teaching program next year or in my responsibility for teaching as a teacher someday, I will be ready.

In my opinion Teaching is not about difficult thing, but about usual thing. I’m so lucky because in our campus, there are many programs each year that prepare us to ready as a teacher. In the first year we have school observation that i think it’s very help us to know condition the students earlier. And in this year we have teaching assistant. We have little bit help the teacher and teaching. So we more ready to teaching. Micro teaching in our PETA class last Tuesday very help us to ready to teaching well, in our teaching assistant program or in our job as a teacher.

In the fourth meeting, in our class done a micro-teaching to all of group which haven’t been performed. From those micro-teaching, I get many message and also experience like how we give instructions to our students.  Actually, I also remember with role play in the second semester  for ITLM and TPTLM subjects which in my group, DRIDI. I really miss the process of that role play. From those activity I learn about how I will teach for my future as a generation of teacher. Through this activity also can make us practice about our confidence when we standing and talking in front the class as a teacher. Not only make us practice about our confidence, but also practice us for handle our students when we facing our students with their characteristics differently with each others.
Important for us to make an effective classroom, an effective teaching and learning when we will teach in the future, also be present in our micro-teaching.
Actually this activity also can develop our passion to be real teacher :D

E-Reflection

               in the fourth meeting in PETA we do a micro teaching. although I'm a little nervous when it will a appear. but I am happy because the micro teaching because I think this activities  is a medium of learning and training for us to a prepare ourselves for a later when we will do a school experience where in the school experience we will become an assistant teacher and get a chance to teach. ^_^

The Fourth Meeting of Peta: Micro Teaching

On October 11, 2011, our section B (Be everything) has fourth time in PETA. On that day, my friend teams presented their lesson plan. It was amazing, because we can learn and take a idea for the next time, especially for our school experience in next week (week 5 and 6) because in school experience we must prepare some lesson plan and another thing what we need with our master teacher in class (school experience). But, i confused when i assessed their team because we still learn and learn.

Micro teaching is a very important activity for teachers candidate, because before the actual teaching of students in front of a lot and have not been able to master the class because of lack of experience, it is mandatory for teachers candidate to do this micro teaching, with either a lecturer or teacher so officials can give feedback very useful. As the same thing that I did with my friends in one group on last Tuesday. It's a valuable experience for me, because next week I'll be teaching a real class, though in a team teaching. Feel the aura so difficult to teach, where we should be able to master the class in order to create an atmosphere of living and learning fun. This reminds me when a good school elementary schools, middle schools and high schools where we sometimes indifferent response to teachers, lazy to learn, likes to joke and others, then this is how I'll feel well on the part of teachers. Uppersecondary school time, which formerly was much less effective teachers teach, what the problem is, teachers are not able to master classes with any teaching or giving him the task is always diminished, consequently a lot of material that is not our master, because he did not explain this to us about the topicevery lesson, he just came in and immediately gave the task, without us know in depth about the topic. It reflects on me, where I had to do TCL / DI if possible, or the method is effective for students who are smart but less active. In micro teaching is also highly effective presence of ice breaking, games and group work, where it will be fun learning activities, creative, active and stimulating critical thinking.
