Reflection In The Second Week Of School Experience_septy cartika


In my second week of school experience, I have taught three classes, they are XI IPA I 1, XI IPA 2 and XI IPA 3. I taught the material on trigonometry, there is one class has finished discussing it. But two more classes have not had time to discuss the two sub-topics. The atmosphere in class was good, enjoy, respect but not every class of respect to me when I teaching. When I make a lesson plan turns out there is a class that cannot be applied because most of its students are lazy, I invite ice breaking they do not want it, when i still senior high school, I really like if teacher give ice breaking because it will reduce the time to learn and it can make enjoy and I have time to refreshing.
My target has been reached, I have been teaching the whole class XI science and they can understand the material that I teach. But I have not been able to make the students really respect to me, because there is a class that his students need more attention and they cannot take a fast, they need more time to work on the problems - problems that I gave. I think I have given the best and as much as possible, they understand my lessons well, and the evidence is almost all they could do about the post test.
But I realized I had to make a plan A and Plan B, not only plan A because if plan A does not apply we still have a plan B, which has been prepared as well. I became very interested in teaching, although it is very difficult to become a teacher, had to prepare everything. And I noticed that makes question is difficult, it is easier to answer questions.
When I interview my master teacher, many things that I can from him that we have to prepare lesson plans at the beginning of the semester, but if circumstances do not support his class we may revise it, we as teachers must be patient with the students, make them like us so that they are enjoying the our lesson.  we do approach to lazy students in the classroom, we invite them to chat first and slowly began to explain the material. We must be prepared to provide additional hours to students who do not understand  the material. And when we first entered the classroom we have to make a regulation, so they are more resfect to us. According to my master teacher , we have no good method of teaching, we should be able to read the state of his class but I think it's all good teaching methods, we can combine it with another and we should be able to read a psychology student and manage the class well. We also need to use different kinds of media in teaching so that students do not get bored, they can better understand the material, and assessment should be done with various aspects of not only the result daily examination, mid tset and final test but we must give the other assessments, such as class participation, presentations when teaching and learning process and other  things.

Hahahaha,,,I just wanna say "Never give up" to teach them. Consider that is as the challenge and try to think positively about them. Set in your mindset that one day you will change it so that all students that you teach will respect to you.

I also had the same experience with you when I did team teaching for the first time in SMA 12 Jakarta. I was almost give up to face them at the moment and seemed no spirit to teach them. But finally, they are all respect to me because my patience to face them. Just enjoy with your class and always try to be the best for them in any condition :)
