The reality for Teaching


Hello guys…
What is your experience in your School’s observe?
I have so many wonderful experience there…I want to share to you.
 On first week in Senior High School, I observed in teaching and learning process at class XI IPA 2. They are Mathematics teacher for class XI IPA which teaches mathematics in different topic which is Bu X for Trigonometry’s topic but Bu Y for Probability’s topic. We observed the class of second meeting for each topic. The facilities in every class has projector, 2 white boards and every student has one textbook. Every class has about 36 students.
            It was our first time to observe and help the teacher for teaching. Firstly, Teachers was opening class with greeting and then explaining about the goal in this session. In first class with Bu X, She was giving some questions for remembering about last materials. Teacher gave questions and then student was answering, the discussion was interactive because has many students was answering the questions as long as teaching and learning process. Before closing the class Bu X gave homework for every student. Although the method are classical but the teacher’s characteristic was helpful for making good atmosphere.  
            The other meeting for Probabilities with Bu Y, she has same ways for opening the class until explaining the goal.  She gave the simple question for beginning the materials. And then makes a group used puzzle. They asked do the experiment of the instruction media that the teacher gave in group. But so many students did not understand the instruction of worksheet which is used English. The schedule for presentation is broken because it needed many time. So, the teacher took another method for making efficient time. And then the teacher was using lecture discussion for explaining the next materials.

In the first meeting in that Senior High School, i felt so nervous because we worked in group for helping the teacher. But now we have to preparing our self before go to teaching.
