I'm sorry... :(

Jakarta, tuesday 22 november 2011. The first, i want to appologize to mrs. Lydia because i can’t join to your class last tuesday. Because, i was sick. I’m so sorry mom about that. I hear from my friends, last tuesday our class discuss about assessment. I don’t know, what did you discuss with my friends about assessment?? But, for me, assessment is the most important thing in the learning process. Why?? Because i think, if you teach student and you don’t assess them, it’s looks like you cook food, and without you try your food, you give your food to other people while you don’t know about your food taste. You don’t know is it too sweet, or too salt, or other.

                The Assessment Is A Method Of Teacher To Know, How Deep Or The Understanding Of Students About The Materials. By Using The Assessment, Teacher Can Reflect About Their Teaching Method, And Also He/She Will Know The Interest Students about the subject. It is so usefull for teacher, in the teaching and learning proccess.

           

               And also the advantages not only for the teacher. As a students, you will know how deep and your understanding about the materials, and you will more study the materials till you got the better understanding.

Assessment is a measurement without judgment the students. Assessment is important to know the students' progress in learning and for teachers to evaluate what methods have been effective and no. Assessment vs. Evaluation, Assessment is a measurement without giving rank and measurement continues from the beginning served until the end of the study, while the evaluation is a measurement that gives value or rank, and occurs only at the end of learning. Both are being measured. Same thing time on the senior high school first, we'll get the report card. Where we will get the value and ranking. Value without ranking it is the assessment, it is currently ranking evaluation. And the example products of assessment on senior high school like report, shadow report card, and ijazah.

Assessment is like Pieces of Cake

Previously, for this meeting I want say thanks for this sharing about assessment because I hoping to find examples of effective assessment and find out how assessment can be effective, so this could be useful for my friends and me as a teacher candidate.

Well, as did i say at this meeting yesterday that assessment is like pieces of cake where every piece of the pie is part of the learning process. When one of the pieces of the cake is missing or lost then the cake will not be a perfect cake and it is similar to the learning process when one part of the learning process is lost then the learning will not become effective. Assessment is part of learning process. 

Talk about affective assessment, I have some experience about assessment. When I was junior high school, there is a teacher who gave us oral assessment in math midterm exams. I think is not relevant between oral test with math study, how can?  This exam will make me and maybe my friends also burdened whereas assessment itself serves not only measure the level of student understanding but also to help students in learning. So, from this experience, I can conclude that effective assessment is the assessment associated with the lesson we learned and can make students more developed and not feel burdened to the test.

Reflection 4

In the first meeting after school experience program, we have reflection based on our master teacher feedback. It is so fun and interesting learning. There are so many things that have differences from master teacher and my perspective. The first important things that I have learn about lesson plan. As a teacher, we must know about aim of our lesson. In my mind, effective teaching is teaching that can reach the goals of a lesson. In the real classroom we also face the different students with different need, interest and learning goals. We can call diversity. It is important for the teacher when develop a lesson plan, how we can covered all of the diversity in the classroom.

First impression: sharing about teaching assistant. 


I was very sad, I can’t join in sharing session about school experience. Certainly there was many experience which shared by my friends. I just hear from some friends. There is many experience which shared, but I was very impressed about Lesson plan (especially about daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly). In TLNLAG class, Lia also asked about Lesson plan, daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly, what is the best? Yeah… I agree Devi’s answer, he think weekly lesson plan better than other, because if we make lesson plan every week, it can flexible, it can be adapt with student.

in my fourth meeting, I reflect how i teaching assistant at school experience. I and my friend sharing about school experience. many good experience I get from my friend.

I reflect we are next generation teacher and we do school experience I get more experience to become a teacher.

im so sory because im late to posting my reflection,

in last meeting we have discuss about our experience during our teaching assistant program....
as a teacher candidate we have found many thing that would be happen when we teaching the students.
the one of important thing that we found is the important of making lesson plan before teaching the students.
we also found there are some teacher who didn't use lesson plan or thought that they don't need lesson plan.

 as a teacher candidate we must know that lesson plan is very important to the teacher to prepare what we want to teach in the class. because to make we confident about the plan that we made, so making lesson plan in not only about how we prepare our class to learning well,we also make our self confident with our abilities as a teacher.
im so happy because sse provide us to being teacher assistant, so with that all we already understand that lesson plan is very important..
